The holiday season promises to be an unforgettable experience at the Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort (Bel Ombre), which unveiled a grandiose program for the holiday season: rich in culinary discoveries and activities tailored for all ages and tastes. For those looking for the perfect place to spend the holidays with family or friends, some rooms are still available.
The Outrigger Mauritius is located in the “authentic South” of Mauritius, facing a turquoise lagoon (one of the most preserved around the island). It is in this enchanting setting that the resort will celebrate the magic of the end-of-year holidays between December 19, 2017 and January 4, 2018. To say goodbye to 2017 in style, a large array of activities – for adults and children alike – exceptional culinary events and entertainment are planned during this period.
Some rooms are still available for Mauritians and local residents, who wish to celebrate the end of year celebrations at this 5-star beachfront resort in the south of the island.
Exceptional dining offers feature among the main highlights of the Outrigger festive season program. From December 21 to 24, guests can embark on a culinary trip at our main restaurant, the Mercado, where Hawaiian, Dutch, English and Mauritian Christmas specialties will be displayed each evening.
Guests can also enjoy a lavish Christmas Eve gala menu at the colonial-style Plantation Club, with Yuletide carols, music and camaraderie to match the delectable scallops, spiny lobster, sea bass and guinea fowl preparations.
In a sophisticated gourmet gala event on New Year’s Eve, Executive Chef Geert-Jan Vaartjes and his team will prepare spectacular charred langoustine, monkfish, glazed veal and loin of lamb along with other delicacies at the same venue.
A great show with a musical band, live entertainment, fireworks and a New Year Party with DJ will take place on the beach near Bar Bleu – to start 2018 in joy and good humour, feet in the sand.
Outrigger has entertainment to match the food throughout the festive period: guests will be regaled with Creole jazz bands, chill DJ sessions, carols on the beach, local Sega dancing, and fire shows.
In order to satisfy visitors who appreciate gourmet moments, guests can opt for champagne breakfasts, farm-to-table dining, jazz brunches, lobster specials, beach barbecues and fresh oysters with white wine on the beach.
Activities for Adults and Kids
As part of its festive program, the Outrigger in Mauritius has arranged two weeks of activities such as water polo, aqua gym, abs sessions, yoga, beach volleyball, basketball, beach soccer, and bocce ball.
Families are central to Outrigger’s festive fortnight. The Coral Kids Club program, for children aged 3-12, will offer a variety of activities and daily entertainment including looking for Captain Hook’s treasure, kids aqua gym, water bucket relay games, face mask workshop, outdoor cinema, disco time and mini Olympics, to name a few highlights.
On Christmas day, while the children are visited by Santa Claus, adults will be able to enjoy a Champagne brunch to the sound of our Creole Jazz band at the Plantation Club between 11:00 and 15:00.
Franck Seguin, the Outrigger General Manager said: “This Christmas and New Year, Outrigger offers all its guests, both local and international, an enchanting and exotic setting to live an exceptional festive season. We warmly welcome Mauritian residents to check-in for a short break – or simply join us for a sensational Christmas or New Year festive meal with family or friends in a delightful setting.”
